INTERACTIVE MATH PLOTTER
Equation Explorer
Enter a math expression, choose one to three input variables, and see the graph adapt to the number of variables. Use generated ranges or provide sample points as CSV. Expressions and data stay in your browser.
FUNCTION AND INPUTS
Enter an expression
Use explicit multiplication, such as 2*x. Variables: x, y, z. Also supports + − * / ^, parentheses, pi, e, and abs, sqrt, sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, ln, log, exp, floor, ceil, round, min, and max. Trigonometric functions use radians.
Use CSV sample points (optional)
Each row supplies values for the selected input variables. The expression is evaluated for every row. CSV mode draws the actual samples; it does not invent values between them.
CSV is optional. Without it, the graph uses your variable ranges.
FUNCTION GRAPH
Function curve
Expression output
The curve shows f(x) over the selected range.
Sample values
Representative coordinates and calculated results.
Evaluate one exact point
Enter values for the active variables.
How graph dimensions work
- With one input,
f(x)is shown as a function curve with X on the horizontal axis and the result on the vertical axis. A separate 1D number-line view shows the sampled X inputs. - With two inputs,
f(x,y)is drawn as a 3D surface: X and Y are the base axes and the expression output is height. - With three inputs,
f(x,y,z)has a fourth quantity: its output. The plot uses X, Y and Z as the cube coordinates and color to represent the expression output. - CSV rows are mapped to the active variable columns and evaluated one at a time. In 3D CSV mode, you can connect rows in input order to show a path.
A single scalar expression of three independent variables cannot be shown as a unique 3D line or surface without choosing a slice or another rule. This page uses color for the fourth value, so all three inputs remain visible as cube axes.
Input format and limits
- Use explicit multiplication, parentheses and powers such as
(x + y)^2. Use only variables that are checked as active. - CSV/TSV files can include column names. Map each active variable to a numeric column; blank or non-numeric cells are reported rather than silently skipped.
- CSV inputs are limited to 5 MB and 5,000 rows. Generated 3D point clouds are sampled and are not a symbolic proof of the function’s behavior.
- All parsing and calculations happen in this browser. The expression is parsed as math and never executed as JavaScript; CSV data is not uploaded.
